I got a little carried away, but I’m really excited about this haul for a few reasons.
I’m planning to try out both of the Becca foundations for a while then do a post on which I prefer.
I finally got a Becca poured skin perfector.
My favorite lip gloss brand, Buxom came out with a liquid Lippie.
AND I can’t wait to review this Dr Jart sleeping mask.
I’m actually excited about all of it.
I can’t handle the excitement, guys.
So I’m in love with the packaging on this product.. It’s seriously adorable.
Putting this mask on is a bit strange, but I have to be honest I usually am not a fan of paper masks. I’m more of a brush-on kind of girl. With that being said this mask in an exception. Usually I don’t feel like I’m getting enough coverage from face masks, but this one felt (and kind of looked,) like a second skin once I had it on, and I’m really a fan.
Excuse my face, I have a sick baby so I haven’t worn makeup in like a week, but look at this mask.! It seriously clings to your skin and feels like a regular mud mask which is so strange to me. It’s not like anything else I’ve ever tried.
When you take this mask off you aren’t supposed to rinse your face, I don’t know if that’s how all paper masks are, I haven’t used one in years, like I said I’m not really a fan of paper. I didn’t exfoliate my face this morning or last night because I wanted to see how the mask does on its own. After removing the paper and rubbing the leftover product into my skin I was left with fresh, moisturized, and dewy skin. It was very gentle on my sensitive skin with no burning at all, just a cool feeling while it was on. I feel like I could use this mask before makeup by itself with no problem on the days I don’t want to exfoliate and moisturize, and want a one step solution to my always-dry skin.
Overall I think this is a really unique brand from packaging to product and I look forward to trying other things from them.!
So I’ve been getting ipsy for about a year now and I kind of feel like I’ve grown out of it a bit. Don’t get me wrong I love ipsy, but it was time to try new things.
For 21$ a month you get 4-5 FULL SIZE items. Yes, full size items.! What better way to try new products and find what you love.
This is the January box, I just got around to opening it. The theme of this box was “Eyes on 2016.”
This is the February box which has the the theme “Rush to Relax”
I’m so impressed with this subscription box, the packaging is simple and adorable, much more chic than ipsy in my opinion. Some of the brands are familiar to me and others are new ones that I’m excited to try.
I can’t wait to test these products and review the ones I love for you guys. Hopefully once I’ve got my life together a little better and am not so busy, (haha,) I’ll start making monthly unboxing posts with reviews.
I’m super excited about this.! If you have never done a subscription box or have been struggling to decide which one to use I would 100% reccomend this one and I’m only on month two.! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store.
This photo describes the bubble mask experiment perfectly.
I didn’t like it.
I bought a bubble mask at Sephora and made my whole family try it. It may be great for some people but I felt like I had ants crawling in my skin. I couldn’t get it off fast enough.
It was interesting.. But not for me.
Want to watch the video.?
If you do be sure to ignore my silly eyebrows at the end.. I had to get that crap off my face and may have taken some (or most) of my eyebrows off with it.. I also had some leftover glitter on my eyelids from my Valentine’s Day makeup, not a skin disease.. And what’s up with my scalp.? Why do I have an albino scalp.? Why am I so white.? Ughhhh.
Also if you watch to the end Payton is the cutest thing ever, she mimicks me.
you have to watch it.
Find it here.
Today will be spent at my house with tacos and corona and I am more than happy about that but I wanted to share my Valentine’s Day makeup with you guys.!!
My lipstick is Jefree Star, Prom Night.
I currently have this mask on my face, but I haven’t been blogging the past few days so I’m dying to start this post.
I want to start this review off by saying I do not sell Posh nor do I plan to anytime in the future. My hope is to try a lot of these products and let you know what’s worth it and what I wouldn’t necessarily reccomend. My sister in law is hosting a posh party online starting tomorrow that you can find here.! I was very reluctant to try Posh products as I often feel things like this are a little oversold by consultants, but I have to say I’ve been very impressed with this brand and I’ve now made two big purchases from their website. I want to give completely unbiased opinions on the products I try.
First of all this mask smells amazing. It’s made with kale (obviously) and other greens. It’s probably one of my favorite smelling masks so far. It goes on very cool and refreshing, spreads easily, and a little goes a long way.
It dries really well with no flaking, and as you guys know I have horribly sensitive skin, but this mask didn’t irritate it at all.
So I just went and rinsed this mask off and I have to say I really like it. It rinses off really REALLY easily even though I applied a pretty thick layer of it which is something I try to find in masks. I hate spending 20 minutes trying to wash my face off. I always use these super cheap face sponges from cvs. They’re my favorite and budget friendly.
All in all I think this mask would be great for anyone with sensitive skin, not to mention it worked great on my dry skin and left me feeling fresh AND moisturized which I wasn’t expecting. So far I have loved the posh masks I’ve tried, and for less than half the price of masks you can find at Sephora I really think they’re worth the $18. Find it here.
One word: wow. I got this mask online recently because I had never tried this brand and I love trying new things.
I am SO impressed. This is a clay mask that spreads like an absolute DREAM. I use a small brush and with most masks I need two brushes of product to cover my face.
This was more than enough to cover my entire face with a thick layer of product. A little goes such a long way.
You let this dry for about 3-5 minutes then you go to start the cleansing process. This mask turns into a foaming cleanser when you add warm water and it is HEAVENLY. It’s like no other cleanser I’ve ever used. I’m seriously blown away by this product. For $15 at Sephora, which rivals some drug store product prices and is significantly cheaper than some of the higher end products I’ve found a product that I plan to use again and again. When I dried my face off I had Aaron feel my face and he was genuinely surprised and said my face had never been so soft, and I use different products almost daily so that’s a big statement.!
I also had Aaron test this product to get a second opinion. He has combination skin, while I have extremely dry skin. He loved it just as much as I did, I told him how to rinse it off and I’m pretty sure I heard him yell from the bathroom while drying his face, “I HAVE THE SKIN OF A BABY.!” My husband is adorable.
The only product I can think to compare this to is Glam Glow Mud to Foam Cleanser which is $40, harsher on the skin, and not anywhere near as moisturizing.. (Hence why I haven’t done a review on it..)
All in all this product is great for dry skin, and combination skin. It’s extremely gentle with zero burn so it’s great for sensitive skin, and it’s a good budget product as well. I will definitely be buying more from this brand and adding this to my weekly routine.
MY SKIN IS SO SOFT.
