Sephora Haul

I got a little carried away, but I’m really excited about this haul for a few reasons.

I’m planning to try out both of the Becca foundations for a while then do a post on which I prefer.

I finally got a Becca poured skin perfector.

My favorite lip gloss brand, Buxom came out with a liquid Lippie.

AND I can’t wait to review this Dr Jart sleeping mask.

I’m actually excited about all of it.

I can’t handle the excitement, guys.

Review: Bathhouse Soapery

Review: Bathhouse Soapery

So this is a review I should have made a long time ago. I’ve been a very loyal customer to the Bathhouse Soapery for a long time. I remember the very first day I walked in, seeing the beautiful exposed brick and the chandeliers, not to mention all the beautiful scrubs, soaps and their displays. The smell hits you when you open the door, and it’s amazing. I made my hubby smell every single bar of soap with me, and help me decide which one to buy, little did he know it would become an addiction.!

All of the abover were close to a year ago, since then their bags and bath bomb packaging have evolved, but the product remains amazing, and the store is still as gorgeous.!

These are recent, the second was just taken yesterday and the first last month.

My all time favorite scent from them is Milk, if you couldn’t tell from the photos, but they have so many amazing ones. I also love the scents Goddess, Bathhouse Couture, and Hot Springs, and I wish I always remembered to take product shots so you could see how beautiful they all are. I used the Milk sugar scrub all through my last pregnancy and it was the only scent that didn’t make me nauseous, other than all natural scrubs. Their scrubs are meant to be sugar scrubs without the sometimes-messy oil factor of traditional sugar scrubs, though with my dry skin I LOVE traditional sugar scrubs I also love the Bathhouses take on them, and I feel like they are great for almost anyone, and especially for people who may not like too much oil in their products, or who have oily skin to begin with.

I recently picked up some of their goat milk body butter in my favorite scent and I’m seriously in love. I’ve been using it twice a day on my dry skin and it’s done wonders, I already picked up a bigger container and will continue to buy it, it’s a new favorite for all over. I also picked up a small one of Goddess and I have every intention to stock up on these babies.!! Seriously, buy one.. You won’t regret it.

Their bath bombs smell so great, and don’t ever bother my sensitive skin. I’ve been tempted to buy a milk bath bomb and stick it under the seat in my jeep and forget about it because wherever you store it will smell amazing… so much fragrance in such a tiny little thing.

If you live in Hot Springs, or near one of their other locations, and haven’t been in, you need to check it out, seriously don’t just get online, go into the store and smell everything, try out the lotions, and experience this amazing little shop.! You won’t regret it. The people who work here are always so sweet and helpful. Almost every time I bring my (crazy) three year olds in they leave with a tiny scrub in Cupcake which is their favorite. They always ask if we can go to the “soap store.”

If you don’t live near one of their stores though you can check out their website here.!

Boxycharm April

I’m always wondering how I ever made it through life without boxycharm. I feel like a little kid around the middle of the month waiting on my box to come in.!!

This month was #BoxyChanceOfCharms and included an eyelash primer, a loose eyeshadow in SUCH a pretty color, a daily lip nourisher, an Ofra liquid lipstick in “Pasadena,” and a hand cream that smells AMAZING. I have yet to recieve anything that I haven’t loved, and this is my favorite way to try new things that I’ve never heard of and probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

Boxycharm you never let me down. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Review: Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream

Okay so I know it’s been like 20 days since I’ve made a post, I’m so sorry guys.! There’s been so much going on, my hubby has been working on business things, my baby girls started preschool (what.?? Where has the time gone??)  as well as some family things, Aaron’s grandmother has been fighting cancer and passed away last week, so good vibes would be appreciated for my sweet mother in law as she goes through this hard time, and though I may still be a little distant in the following weeks I’m going to do my best to get back to posting regularly.

I haven’t been wearing much in the way of makeup lately but I’ve been using a new cream/moisturizer over the past couple weeks that I’ve fallen completely in love with.

I did a review a while ago on a product from Dr Jart called Trans Foam Clay – Pink, that has since become my go to twice a week face mask, I’m on my second tube. It never fails to leave my skin extremely soft, and so I wanted to explore the brand a bit to see what else amazing they had hiding at Sephora. If you have tried their pink mask already you’re sure to love the Ceramidin cream too.

When I was in Dallas for spring break a lady at the galleria store suggested this to me for dry skin, so I ordered it on the drive home, and it’s been seriously life changing. For anyone who doesn’t know I have very very dry skin. I have used this every day and I no longer have flaky patches on my face, and it’s noticeably softer as well as more moisturized throughout the day and into the next day even before reapplying the cream. It’s thick, but feels amazing on the skin, and you can feel the difference immediately. I haven’t used any of my other moisturizers since getting this one in the mail, and I know I will buy it again. I’ll also be trying out EVERYTHING in this skin care line. If you have dry skin, or rough patches you owe it to yourself to buy this, seriously, if you are having trouble finding a good moisturizer that really gets the job done, and if you only buy one this is it.

Milk Makeup Haul + Swatches

Milk Makeup Haul + Swatches

So I found a new brand to learn and love.

Milk Makeup
I fell in love with their packaging, and just had to make an order.

My haul before taking them out of their packaging. I like that they aren’t in boxes, and are instead in sleek containers. I kept them because I can see reuses in their future.

Today I used the bronzer in Baked

The highlighter in Lit

And a lip/ cheek combo in Swish

I didn’t take any makeup pictures today because I’ve been all over the place and in the rain, but I loved these products. I did do some swatches for you guys though.!

I especially liked the bronzer, I used it to contour today and was really impressed by the pigment as well as how blendable it was. It will probably be an everyday product from here on out.

I can’t wait to try everything I got from this brand, and to buy more. So far I’m impressed and I think they’re an awesome (as well as modern,) company. Over half of their products are vegan and they are cruelty free. They use natural oils which I LOVE, and they all require minimal effort and are made to be able to use on the go, or for those days you’re in a hurry. If you’re a mom like me you have those days more often than you don’t, but it’s nice to be able to feel put together without wasting precious time.

I have really high hopes for this brand.

Oh also their brow pencils are names Pale Ale, Pilsner, and Dark Brew.. If nothing else had me sold that sure got this beer lovers attention.!

My haul out of their packages.

More to come on this brand soon.!

Review: Shray Ms. Amazing Face Mask from Feb. Boxycharm

Review: Shray Ms. Amazing Face Mask from Feb. Boxycharm

So I’m in love with the packaging on this product.. It’s seriously adorable.

Putting this mask on is a bit strange, but I have to be honest I usually am not a fan of paper masks. I’m more of a brush-on kind of girl. With that being said this mask in an exception. Usually I don’t feel like I’m getting enough coverage from face masks, but this one felt (and kind of looked,) like a second skin once I had it on, and I’m really a fan.

Excuse my face, I have a sick baby so I haven’t worn makeup in like a week, but look at this mask.! It seriously clings to your skin and feels like a regular mud mask which is so strange to me. It’s not like anything else I’ve ever tried.

When you take this mask off you aren’t supposed to rinse your face, I don’t know if that’s how all paper masks are, I haven’t used one in years, like I said I’m not really a fan of paper. I didn’t exfoliate my face this morning or last night because I wanted to see how the mask does on its own. After removing the paper and rubbing the leftover product into my skin I was left with fresh, moisturized, and dewy skin. It was very gentle on my sensitive skin with no burning at all, just a cool feeling while it was on. I feel like I could use this mask before makeup by itself with no problem on the days I don’t want to exfoliate and moisturize, and want a one step solution to my always-dry skin.

Overall I think this is a really unique brand from packaging to product and I look forward to trying other things from them.!

Boxycharm; January + February

Boxycharm; January + February

So I’ve been getting ipsy for about a year now and I kind of feel like I’ve grown out of it a bit. Don’t get me wrong I love ipsy, but it was time to try new things.

For 21$ a month you get 4-5 FULL SIZE items. Yes, full size items.! What better way to try new products and find what you love.

This is the January box, I just got around to opening it. The theme of this box was “Eyes on 2016.”

This is the February box which has the the theme “Rush to Relax”

I’m so impressed with this subscription box, the packaging is simple and adorable, much more chic than ipsy in my opinion. Some of the brands are familiar to me and others are new ones that I’m excited to try.

I can’t wait to test these products and review the ones I love for you guys. Hopefully once I’ve got my life together a little better and am not so busy, (haha,) I’ll start making monthly unboxing posts with reviews.

I’m super excited about this.! If you have never done a subscription box or have been struggling to decide which one to use I would 100% reccomend this one and I’m only on month two.! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store.
